Shipments

The Shipments module is the core of OFreight. It allows you to manage quote requests, create shipments, and track all operational, financial, and documentation activities in one place.


Overview

Use Shipments to:

  • Capture customer demand through quote requests
  • Convert approved quotes into shipments
  • Manage bookings, contracts, and documentation
  • Track shipment progress across multiple stages

Shipments act as a central source of truth, ensuring all teams are aligned throughout the shipment lifecycle.


Workflow

Step 1: Create a Quote Request

  • Capture customer requirements
  • Define routing, cargo, and service details
  • Collaborate internally to prepare quotations

Step 2: Convert to Shipment

  • Generate a booking from the quote request
  • Enter buying and selling contracts
  • Assign responsible team members

Step 3: Manage Shipment

  • Track shipment progress
  • Update operational milestones
  • Manage documents, tasks, and communication
